Axholme CC

About Us

Axholme Camera Club

Axholme Camera Club is a friendly environment, meeting most weeks, with a membership of likeminded people who are interested in photography. Members have differing levels and skills with some more interested in the social side and some more involved in taking part in the monthly competitions.

The committee have developed a program full of events which should lead to the increased photographic skill of all the members. With a comprehensive calendar of events scheduled which include practical nights, lectures, print talks and both internal and external competitions. Axholme CC is a member of both the Lincolnshire Photographic Association and North and East Midlands Photographic Federation N&EPF.

Over the last seven years we have been holding a bi-annual international competition with Castlehill RSL Photography Club in Sydney, Australia. These competitions take place in May and October with one Judge from each country, each marking the images, with the total scores deciding the winner.

So what does the future hold? More exciting events, organised outings, photo shoots with models, workshops designed to expand the members experience in all aspects of photography, including a greater understanding of the creative and artistic side of image making with the aim of creating images with great composition and impact using both natural and artificial light.

Should you wish to be a part of this very friendly organisation then please come along to one of our meetings. These are held first and third Wednesday and second, fourth and fifth Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held in the St. Nicholas Church Hall in Haxey, North Lincolnshire, commencing at 7.30 pm. Membership is reasonable at £10.00 per year and £2.00 when attending the meetings, Junior membership is half price. Refreshments are served during the interval and all will be made welcome.
